As you can see, back in 1948 when everything was "MUCH" more  affordable , and gas was $. 21 per gallon, this  Hamilton  Langdon sold for $66. This was an all American high grade watch back then as it still is today! All things being equal, this watch could be priced with runaway inflation today at 6 times its original price!      This Hamilton Langdon is an all American Made watch, is  100% all original and 4 time Hamilton factory signed & hallmarked, The original all high polished Hamilton signed case is fabricated of heavy gauge 10 Karat yellow Gold Filled. The case back is solid and is one of the Hamilton "Cld" or "sealed" models that was advertised as water resistant, the case measures 29.35mm wide  (not counting the stem & crown)  by 37.65mm lug to lug.  The watch is powered by its original Hamilton factory signed, High Quality, 17 jewel, caliber 747, fully adjusted,  Yellow Gold compensated balance,  manual wind movement. The original Sterling Silver dial features a "Butler" or matte silver enameled background with Bold 18 Karat Sold Gold applied hour markers. We have installed a New Old Stock MINT condition Mylar crystal, We have even installed a New Old Stock (never worn) Kreisler stitched genuine pigskin strap (just like the original issued  factory strap), This watch is running fine & keeping time. C IRCA : 1948 Condition:88-92% Excellent overall cosmetic & mechanical condition, Running & keeping time!
