Maps using the 1:62500 scale (1 inch - approx 1 mile, used by many USGS topo maps and common road maps) can be read directly. . Compass feature: . . Line up the hour hand with the sun, and the GMT hand (set to local 24 hour time) will indicate North. You can then use the rotating compass bezel to establish any heading. . . Solid stainless steel case and bracelet . . Extra hour hand (GMT hand) for time in a 2nd time zone or 24 hour time. . .
