In fact, he so loved the creative energy in kids that he decided to take the form of a Crayola Crayon way back in 1903. That is the same year the first Crayola Crayon was made! They were only available at select WalMart stores. They were made because melting crayons had become very popular and the boxes featured themed colors and melted crayons on the box. There were 12 themed boxes; the ones I have available are: Bubblin' Sun Lime Slime Oozie Smoothie Sundae Slide Target's 2011-2014 'Pick Your Pack' boxes were very popular and featured 16 themed crayons that complimented each other. These were the last of the themed sets for a few years, with a new set not coming until 2017. Each box has 16 colors: Metallic Magic Super Heroic In 2015, Universal Studios partnered with Target and Crayola to release a special line of Minion themed crayons. The boxes each feature a theme with corresponding crayons and descriptions. The boxes have 8 crayons each: Ancient Egypt (Ancient Tones for Mini Egyptians!) British Invasion (Colorful Chorus of "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!") Cro-Minion (Silly Shades of the Stone Age!) Gone Batty (Vibrant Tones for Vigorous Vampires!) Rock & Roll (Swingin' Shades for Sixties Hipsters!) The 8-Count Crayola Tip Collection was another WalMart exclusive. They feature color-coordinated crayons and Tip on every box!
