The K2 Wayback 96 Skis were created for back country skiers looking for a ski that is light enough for the up but substantial enough to handle whatever comes your way on the way down. With a lightweight Paulownia Tour Lite core, the skis are nimble, agile, and super quick from edge to edge. At 96- millimeters underfoot, they're not the widest skis out there, but the combination of that width and the tip taper and rocker gives it more oomph in the deep stuff. The addition of a Carbon Overdrive adds stiffness without adding too much weight. Some ski tours are absurdly long, and if your gear is too heavy, then you're either not going to get as far or not have enough energy or strength for the descent. As a result, you need a good middle ground to stand on. That's where the K2 Wayback 96 comes in to play. With a 1397 grams per ski weight at 177 cm length, the skis feel super light when you put them on your feet. With the skin grommets and the feathery feeling, the skis are super uphill performers. If you are unsure about keeping the skis or your boot size we recommend shipping the skis & bindings unmounted. Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL) The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size ( eg. a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis. If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees. Binding Check: Buyer is responsible for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels. Product Availability Our Pricetronic store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately.
