Photograph of a Southern “Confederate” Civil War marker/plaque presented in an antique frame (frame approximately 100+- years old with picture being relatively new). Bronze plaque in picture features three flags including the “State of Virginia” flag with the State motto “Sic Semper Tyrannis” center, flanked by the “Confederate First National Flag” and “The Confederate Battle Flag!” Inscription arching above the flags reads: “Fate Denied Them Victory But Gave Them A Glorious Immortality!” Banner inscription beneath the flags reads:“Furled But Not Forgotten!” Unique phraseology honoring the sacrifice of the men in “Gray” with the romance and passion that was the South during that era. Absolutely beautiful, moving picture of bronze metal work and history to be appreciated. Exceptional piece of Civil War memorabilia. Old frame is rough with bumps and bruises but serviceable (dimensions approximately, T-B 12” & L-R 14.5”) (see pics). New glass. Picture in excellent/like new condition. Please see pictures and ask questions to help determine condition for yourself and to decide if this offering meets your specific requirements prior to bidding/making an offer.
