Antique French Cross Crucifix Wood Wall Art Deco Memorial Metal 24”

We are happy to be able to offer for your consideration this handmade French crucifix. Made of solid wood with an Art Deco corpus that is made of cast metal and gilt with a silver finish. It measures 25” tall. It is in very good condition condition.
This handmade crucifix was originally used as a grave marker. In France traditionally they use a wooden grave marker while they are waiting to have a permanent one make one out of iron or marble or stone . The family of the deceased keep the original handmade wooden cross as a memory of their family member.
This piece is in very good used condition. There is some oxidization to the wood On the bottom from when it was in the ground.
