1953 Women's Elgin Manual Wind Watch This is a nice women's Elgin manual wind watch, made in the U.S.A. in 1953 (the serial number K486683 stamped into the movement indicates the year of manufacture). The 17 jewel 668 grade movement has been cleaned and oiled, and t he watch is running well and keeping accurate time. The dial is in excellent condition, with no patina or paint loss anywhere to be found. The dial appears to have been refinished at some point, as the black markings look to be hand painted and do not line up with the gold raised indexes. The 10k Gold Filled Apex style case has been cleaned and
polished, and shows only light surface scratches and one ding in the lower right corner of the case back. A brand new acrylic crystal has been installed. A brand new brown alligator calf strap has been installed. Overall, the watch is in excellent condition and ready to wear! Please see pictures for more details, and feel free
to ask any questions prior to purchase. Please keep in mind that it takes a lot of my time, money, and knowledge to get these watches in reliable, running order and to make them look the best they can. I believe I am listing each watch at a fair market value -- I take the time to do a lot of research, and frequently check the "going rate" for watches that are similar to what I am offering, and adjust according to condition. As a result, I do not accept offers. Thank you for your understanding. I do combine shipping -- all items purchased at the same time will be shipped together in one box for a flat $6.00 fee. Simply add the items you wish to purchase to your cart, and when you check out, you should see one $6.00 flat shipping charge. Send me a message if for any reason you see shipping charges greater than $6.00 so that I can send you a refund of the excess.
